mitts are very durable and provide a strong striking surface for the fighter as well as protection for the trainer.
The smaller mitts are used primarily for punching.
They can be moved quickly and their lighter weight reduces muscle fatigue on the shoulders.
The larger Thai style pads can be used for all striking movements; punches, kicks, knees and elbows.
