Featuring four distinct blade variations (Iaito, Katana, XL, and XL Light) each sword has been designed from the ground-up, with blade geometry specially adapted to the needs of each Japanese martial arts discipline. Currently offered in two formats (Tori and Practical) with more to follow, the series will feature a wide range of steels and furniture styles to meet every budget. - The Tori katana is an all-new design from CAS/Hanwei that incorporates truly elegant furniture with the functionality of our performance series. Featuring a flying crane tsuba, brown leather tsuka-ito over black same and a dark brown/black saya, the Tori is available in three folded steel cutting blade profiles and three Iaito blade lengths. This is undoubtedly one of the most elegant mounts ever crafted by CAS/Hanwei. - XL: Heavy Competitive Cutting Designed strictly for competitive cutting, our XL Katana blades incorporate the geometry, strength, weight and profile needed for successful cuts on substantial targets. Featuring differential heat treatment and a narrow edge angle, these wide blades will reward good technique with clean cuts and excellent durability.
